COME PLAY A RARE VARIETY OF MMO THAT'S (MOSTLY) NOT SHIT WITH US
>What is it?
The product of Richard Garriott's and NCSoft's efforts back in 2003. Base game was locked behind a subscription and contained only a limited amount of content, but as time went on, this was remedied through expansion packs. At one point in a development process, the game's balance was fucked up VERY hard, so the consensus between what players there are left is that it's better to play on earlier versions of the game. We are playing on a Classic version of the game, which close to base game as it was released, but not quite.
Server, in which we're playing right now is infested with Brazillians, Chinese and Russians, as it is often the case with free MMOs.
>Why play this? Everybody knows that all theme park MMOs are dogshit and EVE is boomer central/spreadsheet simulator/goonhive.
This game is rather unique in that while the base game is a themepark MMO, it forces people to play together to survive in the vast wilderness of the grinding fields - killing people and getting killed in turn is very easy if you have shit gear for your level and even with good gear it is still easy. Every death is a static -4% EXP penalty and on the later levels, generic monsters will only give out around 0.05% of your EXP bar. Quests are more or less useless in that regard, so fast-paced party grinding is the order of the day.
Top spots for grinding and money-making on top levels, however, are usually strictly occupied by powerful clans leveling in big parties that will kill you and take no prisoners in order to rake gigantic amounts of money in materials and make their +10 overenchanted staves into +12 ones. Some of them are not unreasonable and/or Brazillian and can be negotiated with, however. With proper funding made from excessive amounts of grind, it is possible for anons to gather one big party and apply copious amounts of strategy to find out ways to better kill the enemy without dying ourselves. The last part is as far as we got before the clan fell apart because I had to quit because of IRL issues and things died to attrition.
Even so, it's fun to grind things together and kill other fags together.
>Shieet nigga, how does the game work?
Download a client, make an account on the server - feel free to use temporary e-mail, it doesn't care - make a character and play the game. Using the wiki will be more or less required to learn specific mob loot tables and how to complete class transfer quests. After making a character, either post the IGN in the thread or add one of our clanmates below to friends list. We'll invite you to clan then.
If you want to find out what each class is good at in advance, below are some helpful links to the skill lists. Take note that wiki is not exactly completely accurate because this server is running a different version of Classic from the official one.

We're playing Classic Club, one of the only servers where L2 is acceptable these days. Other servers either feature a heavy amount of P2W bullshit, have plain higher EXP rates which causes server's cancer population to intensify tenfold or go overboard with something else. Either way, this freeshard seemed to be the best option at the time. There's no indication of server's location, but it does offer multiple proxy servers in the connection menu.
Server runs a Lineage II Classic variation - for all intents and purposes it's C1 with some stuff from C2 added on like Alligator Island and Zaken. Multiboxing is locked behind getting a premium account (which doesn't give anything else other than a cosmetic), which could, potentially, be bought for in-game money - around ~20m for a month or so (we already have twice that in Clan Warehouse). The game has an in-built auction house system, which is really glorified server-owned RMT bullshit. It is more or less tolerable though because in this game great numbers + good gear > poor numbers + greatest gear possible.
ADENA: x2 (amount)
DROP: x1 (chance)
SPOIL: x1 (chance) x1 (amount)
QUEST: x2 (xp/adena)
Raid Bosses: x1 (chance)
Discord is cancer, but if you are going to play a MMO in the current year its a very effective tool in creating a cohesive community. I simply asked so I could chat with you guys while I was downloading it, not to make fun of you or play who is the older old faggot.
Right now there's almost no one playing it except me and whoever else keeps logging in at random times. Pretty sure there IS a discord (and a forum) somewhere for this particular freeshard, but I don't want to go anywhere near there. There's probably a link on their website.
That said, clan chat tab does the job nicely enough for in-clan communication.
>>200065>Right now there's almost no one playing it except me and whoever else keeps logging in at random times.
That was for clan activity - the server is lively enough.
How do you stop typing in the chat box? All of my input goes to the chatbox, and I can't stop it from being sent there. I've restarted the client twice.
How do you change your key bindings? There is no option in the "options menu" to change keybindings.
Is the only way to move around this click-to-move garbage?
>>200090>How do you stop typing in the chat box? All of my input goes to the chatbox, and I can't stop it from being sent there. I've restarted the client twice.
It's the default, F1-F12 are for hotbar and character input just defaults to chat. It makes typing things in the middle of the battle easier, don't have to click the chatbox so often.>How do you change your key bindings? There is no option in the "options menu" to change keybindings.
There's a shortcuts tab in options. Aside from that, you're on your own. Maybe things like AHK work, never tried it though.>Is the only way to move around this click-to-move garbage?
The game is ancient, what do you expect from it. It's possible to hold LMB and RMB at once to move forward and there's a dedicated hotkey for it too though.
The UI/Input/Movement in this game are tedious and very hard to control. Feels like you are constantly fighting with the game client just to move your character or pick up an item.
I'm sure theres a fun game in here, but I dont know if I want to fight with the controls for 300 hours to find out.
>>200112>nobody is playing>so I'm not gonna play
Well have fun doing something else I guess.
>>200109>I'm sure theres a fun game in here, but I dont know if I want to fight with the controls for 300 hours to find out.
If you don't want to learn if this game is worth it, then why download it in the first place?>>200112
It's not that bad, fuck off. I want to believe it's not that bad, at least.
Asking if a guild has a discord is hardly begging for one. You sound like a gigantic faggot.
>>200119>If you don't want to learn if this game is worth it, then why download it in the first place?
Because you didn't say the movement is terrible and there is no remapping of hotkeys. I had to download it to figure that out. My point was that fighting with the controls for 300 hours on the off-chance the game might be good doesn't sound appealing.
>>200123>the movement is terrible
Click to move is hardly terrible when there's automove around.>there is no remapping of hotkeys
Use this.>fighting with the controls for 300 hours
It's not THAT bad.
My UI does not show that option in the menus. Thats exactly what I was looking for.
When do we do a Worlds.com gamenight?
If nobody makes the thread, it's probably not gonna happen. It doesn't even have to be next week.
On that note, time to take a break. If someone wants to join up, put IGN in the thread
>>200153>it doesnt have to be next week
gamenights are supposed to be on weekends so everyone can play even the wageslaves
It means that it could be this week, the week after that or even pushed way further. Just that the thread has to be made instead of the alternative.
>>200062>It is an effective tool for creating a cohesive community.
Have you heard of imageboards?
I skipped around the thread and read this >>200065>Right now there's almost no one playing it except me and whoever else keeps logging in at random times
and assumed this was OP asking people to come to some dead private server to play with him.
https://l2wiki.com/classic/Character_Level>These exp tables
Yeah, grind seems quite a bit TOO bad for me to justify this
fuck it time to be a cat farmer
When I was ~12 years old I spend my life in Lineage 2 and I was the best BD on the server. I told everyone that i'm 15 years old and everyone thought I was 20+.
Also I feel so sad if I listen to Lineage 2 OST right now, I even cry.
You have a lot of adventures on your lonesome with those vietkong and brs.
How do you find it in yourself to do it?
why are you playing this character now? what happened to your old character?
>>200339>why are you playing this character now? what happened to your old character?
Nothing, it's still there. I'm leveling a Spellsinger now because without a solid DPS character that can do decent-to-great damage at range, supports are quite useless. There's no indication right now that anons will join anytime soon, so I wanted to level a mage since they're effective and relying on anons (now or in the future) to level a class that requires sitting for 3-5 minutes during grinding sessions to get more mana and then expecting them to stick around is futile.
Now, there is a leveled sorcerer on the same account, but Spellsinger has more cast speed, more nukes to choose from and his main nuke doesn't reveal his position immediately if it ever comes to that. On top of that, there is a benefit in keeping sorc at low level because it lets us do AoE parties to feed anons EXP if there's no bosses around.
To be perfectly clear, I'm not abandoning Overlord as a character (or dorf, for that matter) and will continue to level him (just not as actively), but supports exist to support others. Since there are no others right now, it's best to get a dedicated solo character.
What classes do you need? I don't mind dicking around for a short bit.
There is no "short bit", you stick around because the grind takes ages to do. Because of that, taking whatever class you want to is the best, though in practice, classes that use melee weapons/bows/summons are easiest to level, followed by mages (the sit to regain mana clause) and then finally buffers (can't attack effectively at all, have to rely on expensive weaponry to solo and it still takes forever). There are parties in LFG that mitigate the grind like Raid Bosses and AoE grind, but it's just lowering the difficulty from Suicide to Nightmare.
tl;dr casuals need not apply
Casuals love grinding though, that's why they play MOBA's, gatcha, COD and battle royale shit.
How do you level up in Lineage 2?
I haven't seen any quests so far.
Oh. I think destiny 2 is the best analogue to lineage in that entire fucking list, and that's extremely fucking tenuous to say the least.>>200371
Seek nearest mob and murder it.
Continue until someone asks you what the fuck you're doing. Also I guess post your in-game name here or something.
My character name is "Xos". I'm logging in now to mess around a bit. I played a bit earlier, but mobs were starting to kill me and I couldn't find much to do so I logged out.
There's no analogue to your bullshit, grinding sandboxes don't differentiate as much as you'd like to pretend. Most of the top played games on Steam are the same shit, exp or material grinding for unlocks, the most "game" on there is Rocket League, Civ or fucking Football Manager unless you consider sandboxes to be games.
Is there a way to determine relative power of mobs? I keep running up to stuff not knowing if its going to kill me or not.
Have you actually played lineage, everquest, or any of those other things?
oh right when you target a mob I think the color of their name can give you an idea of their relative strength
red being the toughest, yellow being sort of tough, white being at your level, green being slightly weaker, and blue the weakest.
This game has a serious case of the silent hills. I feel like I am wandering around in the fog because monsters don't show up until you are 3m from them.
I finally found a quest. I need to kill "Greystone Golem"s to find 20x"Star Stone". The quest put a marker on my map, but there are no "Greystone Golem"s at that location. I found some "Greystone Golem"s at another location and have killed almost 20 of them, and have yet to see a single "Star Stone". Again, there are no golems at the map marker, just bats and werewolves. https://l2wiki.com/classic/Gatekeeper%27s_Offering
Adjust this slider. This lets you see more things beyond certain range. Performance might decrease, though.>>200407
Map locations aren't always accurate and quest item drop rates aren't 100%.
>failed to add Xos and CatFarmer to friends list because both are offline
I'll log on WATERHOSE for now
Keep lying to yourself.
>>200419>Map locations aren't always accurate and quest item drop rates aren't 100%.
I killed golems for almost an hour and didn't get a single drop. I just kind of gave up and started grinding elsewhere. I found a giant gave in the east part of the starting zone, with a lot of artwork on the map, but I dont see any way to start a quest or anything relevant to do inside it.
but it's a video game by any other name
>>200419>I'll log on WATERHOSE for now
Just logged on as Xos.
There are games without unlock systems tied to exp that aren't braindead monster clickers that don't rely on pvp to not make it an unbearable chatroom believe it or not.
I'll try this shit out OP>>200059>Do you have a discord or anything?
Just make a riot.im room if you must.
I just prefer sims that make me feel less like a deranged rat.
Could someone give a quick rundown on the class/gameplay meta of the game? Which races/classes are in demand, what are they viable for, what roles do they serve in the end-game, is there pvp? Is the pvp meta different?
how the fuck do i stop this nigger game from raping my gamma and colour profile every time i launch it
All classes are addressed as their 2nd profession name. Metagame is centered around what characters can do at long-range and their crowd-control skills (as they have a high proc rate in this version). Aside from solo play, to level up people form AoE parties (gather a lot of monsters in one spot and kill with area of effect damage) and Raid Boss parties (kill a giant health sponge while trying not to die). As always, leveling mages is hard because mana regen doesn't catch up and leveling buffers without expensive gear or clan support is suicide.
Human:>Warlord: Designated AoE class with a spear. With proper skills and equipment, can solo 20-30 monsters at a time. Best at AoE parties, has a ranged stun for PvP. Decent damage.>Gladiator: Kill things with dualswords. Ranged stun, close range damage. DPS moves require charging up. Single-target DPS, great up close but not useless at range.>Paladin: Tank with shitty heals. Tanks generally don't do well in PvP unless they have some sort of crowd control, but he only gets a melee stun and close-range root. Valued at Raid Boss parties for being a tank.>Dark Avenger: Tank with a pet and a high-chance fear spell - that alone makes him great. The meta choice. The edgier (and better) Paladin. Good at RB parties and PvP.>Treasure Hunter: Designated PK class. Dagger users have a skill that deals huge CP-piercing damage from behind, capable of one-shotting characters with shit armor. Human daggers get a +40 speed 15 second buff at level 20 which turns into +66 speed at level 46. That alone makes them FUN.>Hawkeye: Bow user class that can convert own HP into MP. As a tradeoff, his unique ability roots himself for attack and range increase. Demerit lowers to speed decrease at later levels.>Sorcerer: The most "balanced" mage. Compared to other mages, he doesn't get access to Curse Death Link (nuke that scales with health missing) or Spellsinger's cast speed (delete MP and enemy HP in seconds), but can keep killing shit for longer before running dry of mana. Gets AoE spells earlier. Trash at endgame because CDL and Spellsinger cast speed are so good.>Necromancer: The meta choice. Gets a summon, ability that redirects half of incoming damage to summon and Curse Death Link. Can blow up enemy corpses for AoE damage. Great for PvP (doesn't die as much because of summon + CDL), RB's (nuke with CDL), AoE parties (blow up corpses) and everything else. If you want a mage, only level Necro.>Warlock: Human summoner with a cat. All summoners except Dark Elf get infinite mana because it's possible for a summon to refill caster's mana and then resummon it - ability has a short cooldown. Warlock can heal with that infinite mana. Can AoE root.
>Bishop: Make no one else die in your party. Top tier healing spells and a very shitty matk nuke. Buff for maxhp and more EXP after revival. Almost no buffs or ability to deal damage. For insane faggots only.
>Prophet: All-in-one buff stop shop. Single-target. Haste 2 makes autoattacks and skills go faster, Acumen 3 makes spells go faster, Greater Might makes things hit harder, Greater Shield makes things take less damage, Blessed Body/Soul increases HP/MP bars. However, it's a buffer. More than that, we already have one that's more or less leveled.
>Temple Knight: Meta tank focused on defense. Shitty heal, cubics, decent crowd control. Shield defense in all directions, meaning can kite very well. Loses to Shillien Knight and Dark Avenger in PvP ability. The PvE choice for a tank.
>Sword Singer: Unique Song buffs for the whole party mostly focused on defense that stack with everything else. Doubles critical rate, increases health, PDEF, MDEF, HP bar, etc etc. Has a shitty heal, slowdown and a paralysis.
>Plains Walker: Dagger with a shitty heal. Nothing special until 3rd profession, where he gets an ability that gives 999999 physical evasion for a short period of time, at which point he can bravely die against mages.
>Silver Ranger: Bow user with a shitty heal. Noticing a pattern here? Can increase own rate of fire and reduce range. All archers get a ranged stun and a DPS ability though, so they have that at least.
>Spellsinger: Mage user. Specialty is increasing cast speed to the point of madness. Effectiveness scales directly to worn equipment and weapon. Main nuke doesn't directly reveal characters's position, giving a chance to fire off more water blasts before the enemy tries to kill you back.
>Elemental Summoner: Summoner with a pony. Can farm AoE with a summon ability and make infinite mana. Can also stun. RB parties want it, AoE parties want it, decent at mass PvP, great at leveling because the cat gives more single-target DPS.
>Elven Elder: Refill other people's mana. Every class wants mana. Resurrect other people with best exp% brought back. Everyone wants more EXP. More stun resistance, heals, instant party teleport to town. Immobilize things. Great if you have it, but good luck leveling this up because it can't deal damage without help.
>Shillien Knight: Meta tank focused on offense. Hex people and Raid Bosses for PDEF reduction, shield defense from all sides, debuff cubics, poison, paralysis. Best PvE tank for bosses just because of Hex's PDEF reduction.
>Blade Dancer: Unique Dance buffs for the whole party mostly focused on damage that stack with everything else. Increases attack speed, damage, cast speed, etc. Also gets PDEF reduction skill, poison, paralysis and most of Shillien Knight's skills.
>Abyss Walker: Dagger with more PATK and less PDEF. Has Hex. Hex + Backstab on unsuspecting targets is impossible because crowd control effects can't land on unflagged players. Better at PvE because of that though.
>Phantom Ranger: Bow user with a signature ability that deals more damage the less HP he has. Like Necromancer, but with bows instead. Use this.
>Spellhowler: Dark Elf mage with Curse Death Link. He's not sorcerer tier just because of CDL. More damage, less cast speed means he gets more value out of mana.
>Phantom Summoner: Summoner that doesn't get infinite MP, but has really good stats on his summon instead. For comfy singleplayer grinding.
>Shillien Elder: Refill other people's mana. Every class needs mana. Debuff Weapon Atk resistance and MDEF resistance (stacks with Hex, great for RB's), buff Empower (MATK +55-75%) and Vampiric Rage (melee attacks recover HP), heals. Similarly a pain to level.
Orc:>Destroyer: Close range big-sword-kills-big-things. Has two self-buffs that increase defense by a lot and damage by a lot respectively that can be activated when character is at low health. Can AoE with a spear, but no long-range abilities, so expect to die to ranged damage in PvP if there is any and if there is too much distance. Gets a skill called Rush at 3rd profession that closes distances between them and the enemy instantly, which makes for a FUN surprise.>Tyrant: As gladiator, but with fists instead. Powerful self-buffs and slowdown CC. Many nukes, can AoE. Can only use fists.>Overlord: Buffs entire clans instead of parties. Buffs clans AND parties on this server, has AoE damage, AoE root, high-chance sleep. Doesn't have Haste 2 that Warcryer and Prophet has. It's still a buffer, which means that leveling it is pain.>Warcryer: As Prophet, but buff a full party instead. Great for buffing full parties. Gets to summon the entire party to where he's at at 3rd profession. Decent crowd control skills (high-chance sleep), but since he's likely to have zero MP most of the time because most of it was spent on buffs, he's not good in a fight and leveling it is hard.
Dwarf:>Bounty Hunter: Chinese farmer bot. No long-range abilities, your entire mana bar must go towards accessing a second, hidden loot table that contains good things for certain mobs. Has two stun skills on short cooldown, so if anyone hostile that's not significantly above your level is nearby and there is enough mana, it's possible stunlock them to death. Dies to long-range bombardment. Gets a skill called Rush at 3rd profession that closes distances between them and the enemy instantly, which (also) makes for a FUN surprise.>Warsmith: Compared to Bounty Hunter, has only one stun, but has a jank mechanical golem to make up for it. Can craft things if he has a recipe and can put up shops for other people to craft things with own recipes. The other jew class. Can make siege golems during Castle Sieges and also gets Rush at 3rd profession. There are a lot of them at Giran Harbor, ready to jew you out of gold for their recipes and it's generally not worth it to level them just for crafting. The clan has one already.>>200472
Taking a break now.
I was having that problem too. It makes it near impossible to watch something on the other screen while playing it, which is absolutely necessary considering its nothing but grinding.
Yeah I don't know, the game at first impressions just seems like a clunkier DAoC.
I want to get into it, but I keep turning it off because its so clunky.
It's a shame a lot of these older MMO's just couldn't get basic movement and the hotkey combat down right. A few simple tweaks to get the flow more like WoW
and they'd be a lot more enjoyable to grind away in.
Suprisingly enough, Star Wars Galaxies on the LEGENDS emulator is pretty good in the movement/hotkey combat. Feels very smooth like WoW
. The game has almost zero content though. I had seen just about everything it had to offer in less than a month of playing casually. Most of the content comes from people roleplaying, but unfortunately a lot of that just turns into degenerate sex shit. Also, you are playing with people who are obsessed with star wars.
>make female elf
>understand why elves are considered sluts
wew, he's alive. to anybody wanting to join i recommend to give it a try, the clan leader will help you a lot. the game can be fun but it IS grindy.
Alright I've decided to give it a go. Do you get any sort of benefit for being a referrer? If so give me a code and I'll put it in for registration.
No, we don't get dick. We do get things out of you being in the clan as soon as possible though, so post IGN or add WATERHOSE to friends list.
I'm constantly getting Stadia-tier lag. I'm not going to be able to play like this, sorry.
Holy shit, but come, let's keep going!
I think thats just how the game is.
Is there anywhere that gives skill guides for the different classes? It seems like this is one of those games where you can screw up your character by training the wrong abilities.
Pick a different proxy in the connection menu. There's five to choose from.>>200671
Just train active skills over passive skills and you'll be fine.
i just started playing FFXI again and was thinking about making a thread about it like the ones we had in 2017-2018>inb4 wurm fags also make a thread
>>200704>tranny shit the mmo
Doing synchronized dancing while pressing 20 button rotations is not fun.
>>200708>filecheck thing(took like 5 minutes). >restarted PC >logged in using a vpn
Its not working.
Tried all that. No success.
I tried to get help in the server's discord server, but the only advice I could get was from some dumb slavic nigger who is "convinced" I am clicking the button too fast, and thats my problem.
I deleted the entire directory and I am reinstalling from scratch now.
Still no success. The game crashed when I was fighting a monster earlier, and after completely reinstalling I can't login. I tried making another account, and was able to select a realm on that account just fine.
>>200728>The game crashed when I was fighting a monster earlier, and after completely reinstalling I can't login. I tried making another account, and was able to select a realm on that account just fine.
Make a ticket on their website on the glitched account. For now, just play on the new one - it's probably not a lot of progress lost if you joined up recently.
I tried the "new account" and now its not letting me play either. I guess I will just find another mmo to check out then.
>Can't select a server proxy now
>Have tried restarting the client about 10 times, checking the files 3 times.
Download and install this - http://files.l2classic.club/patch/l2classic.club_patch2.0_zaken.zip
After new installation, the game crashes if wrong login/password information is entered for some reason.
>>200894>try to log in with the right password this time>get in>now I cant get in the server
I ran the patch already but I still cant get in.
I'm still stuck at the proxy screen. Why is the server so heavily trafficked anyway? Are there really that many dorf jews around?
I just tested it with a new account. Can't get past the proxy screen too if anything other than OK on the European proxy choice is selected. Doubleclicking European proxy works just as well.
If someone wants to make use of it, use fagget9 as the login and 123456 as the password.
Update - relogging a number of times (2-5) fixed the issue. Can now switch between servers. Would probably work as well for you.
How many of lads are playing?
Four of us are here at this moment - see picrelated.>>200928>Also, is there a way to regenerate mana faster? I can't really do anything but auto-attack because I run out of mana after like 5 attacks.
Mana regen is shit so auto-attack will be your main source of damage. Rationing mana is best. It's possible to increase mana regen by sitting (default - F11). >Additionally, do you have any tips for a bow elf?
Never played a bow, but having a physical attack at range sounds fun.
I don't think grinds turn people away from MMO's. It's more so the fact that the game controls in a very clunky way and that the combat isn't satisfying. Animations get lost in the chink-like UI's, inputs all have weird massive delays to them. People seem to even enjoy grinding, Vanilla WoW is a pretty grind intense game and normalniggers flocked to that. Not to say I particularly enjoy vanilla WoW, but it does have combat and movement down pretty well.
Is anyone else having trouble loggin in right now?
I was trying that but no luck.
Still can't connect to anything but the europoor proxy.
You have to select only one proxy. If you select a proxy and it doesnt work you have to turn off the client and start over.
Is this the filter? I want a flying mount if they're going to subject me to this collect X Bear asses shit.
That's too bad, people only get mounts at level 76 and none of them are flying. The good news is that there are almost no quests in this game worth doing aside from class transfer ones that are used to get new abilities after level 20/40/76, so it all evens out.
why does that elf look like a potato nigger
GOD FUCKING DAMMIT YOU WERE THIS ][ FUCKING CLOSE, AND YOU JUST HAD TO GO AND RUIN IT, YOU ABSOLUTE NIGGER!
She would look a lot better if she didn't have ear horns and antennae eyebrows. She can keep the blue sclera though.
Image editor can easily fix it. Get cracking!
but thats a dragon, anon.
That's all for today.>>201752
Can you justify playing this and not using bots? Modern clones even have built-in bots because no one in right mind would do something like this to themselves.
Bots actively get banned - there's a bot report button and everything. There are a lot of players on the lower levels still because everyone wants alts and loot from easily accessible low-level Raid Bosses (when they're available). The server is populated and economy is working. End-game content is Olympiad (1v1 PvP mode on the weekends, rewards are converted into money), Clan Wars (kill other fags for clan points, EXP penalty reduced to 1% if dead to enemy clan member, can be negated partially with bishop/elven elder or entirely with power of money), Castle Sieges (fight for a huge castle; winning clan gets to tax local shop NPCs or give them 3% EXP boost npc; both cases give clan access to castle NPCs with powerful items), High-End Loc Farming (Giant's Cave, TOI, Devil's Isle, etc - all of this gives M O N E Y) and high-level Raid Bosses/Super Raid Bosses (Baium, etc).
There is a METRIC FUCKTON of grind in this game, but there is a definite endgame, so it's not like, say, Guild Wars 2 where you grind and grind and it's max level and whoops, map is 100%'d, go WvWvW, raid dungeons for cosmetics and instanced PvP or go fuck yourself, there's no more things to beat.
3% exp rate and "M O N E Y" from grind is not a justification to play a game. Its random bullshit from server website. Only missing "improved scripting base and friendly community".
You might as well play cookie clicker instead of this, because with small edit your post applies to it as well. >Modern clones even have built-in bots because no one in right mind would do something like this to themselves
>>201894>3% exp rate and "M O N E Y" from grind is not a justification to play a game. Its random bullshit from server website.
Did you miss half the stuff explained in the post? Clan Wars means there is open-world PvP in the game - with opposing players in a clan, in this particular case. You don't even need to be in a clan to fight other players, just attacking them the same way as monsters while holding ctrl works. All the M O N E Y and 3% and everything related to that, it's for gearing people up and making sure they don't lose massive amounts of experience on death at high levels. Olympiad is just 1v1 PvP with no EXP on the line.>Only missing "improved scripting base and friendly community".
There is no improved scripting base because some features are simply missing or otherwise inaccessible and>friendly community
The game is full of BRs and fags that RMT. What makes the game not a garbage fire like the rest is that it's entirely possible to combat expensive gear with just skill and average gear for level. That is, if equipped gear is comparable at least.>You might as well play cookie clicker instead of this, because with small edit your post applies to it as well.
That's an MMO. It's grind and grind and then suddenly PvP meta and preparing for PvP meta when it inevitably happens - or just running the fuck away from the conflict every time, in which case yes, it is cookie clicker. Cookie clicker is just grind forever.
I too enjoy Wurm online
There aren't any bots from what I've seen
from what I've encountered at beginner level. It's just kind of empty, with small spatterings of people actually doing the low level grind instead of instant raid-boss for maximum cheese.
Is the game WINE friendly? I'm not completely sold and if I have to boot into windows to even try that'll kill any interest I have immediately.
Try it and find out? It only took like 10 minutes to download the torrent.
Before anything, it's impossible to log in two characters at once in separate windows on two different accounts without Premium Account. PA costs approximately 20m a month or 7m adena a week - otherwise everyone would run a full complement of buffers, rechargers and whatever else off-party to make the game a breeze. Also, doing a second class transfer quest will be required on the buffer acc.
For buffers, our clan really wants a Warcryer right now. It's a Prophet, but it buffs a full party - buffing things one-by-one in a party that's more than three people is inviting severe mana troubles. Alternatively, just ask for PP account details in the clan - if Lauca's up for it, we can just give you login/password for it so you can spare yourself the grind.
I see people multiboxing all the time.
Those are whales, anon.
Movement speed is horribly slow. Is there any class/items/anything that will significantly increase it?
1) Wind Walk potion from grocery shop or levelup rewards (applies a level 1 Wind Walk buff; +20 speed)
2) Wild Walk 2 buff from buffers (Human Cleric/Elven Oracle/Shillien Oracle 30, Warcryer 52, Overlord 64; +33 speed)
3) Wild Walk 2 self-buff (Tank classes have this)
4) Dash (Human Rogue 20, Treasure Hunter 46; speed +40/+66 for 15 seconds on a 30 second cooldown) - stacks with Wind Walk 2
5) Quick Step passive (all Daggers and Bowmen have this) - stacks with Wind Walk 2
6) Song of Wind (Sword Singer 46, partywide 2 minute buff; +20 speed) - stacks with Wind Walk 2
7) Mount - max speed, need level 76 to get it, can't use any weapons on it
I will resign myself to slowness. I went with a Dark Elf oracle but if the wind walk noob potion is indicative of the sorts of speed boost +20 gets you, then there's nothing to be excited for when I hit 20(30?) and get the spell itself.
Around what level is the near-mandatory group up? I'm 15 now and soloing is starting to be slow as molasses and risky.
If we get enough money from autists to pool 20 million after equipping everyone, you can get your damn PP box. For now, we can do without it by relogging it when it's needed, buffing and logging a different char. For now though, the other nigger wants to have a BD box, so there is that.

Keep this, sell the rest to any NPC vendor for cash. Karmian, Plated Leather and Full Plate are Top C armor sets.
Why did she die from a butt slap?
She instantly came and collapsed.
That guillotine is pretty bad ass.
I briefly thought that was a Guild Wars login splash image.
That's some good camerawork.
First message is enough, leather boy.
getting SWG vibes from this
Yes and no. I guess parts of it are kind of like SWG pre-NGE. Theres a lot of grinding, thats for sure. Crafting in SWG is much more interesting. Crafting here is more about grinding for 15 hours and then just finding someone to combine the pieces and hoping that you have good RNG.
vch: >receptive to playing Lineage 2 and the thread isn't shit.
8kun:>downboating with sages and complaining about how shit mmos are.

The third SS is really good. I put it in the 8kun thread.
Can you play on other characters while you have your offline store set up or would that make your store character disappear?
maybe that was a lie.
